The Flight Operations Department (FOD), within its competence, ensures the following:
- Organization and conduct of certification inspections of aircraft operators. During the application assessment, inspectors review both documentation and the demonstration phase (operational demonstrations and inspections).
- Evaluation and approval of operators' documentation.
- Preparation and issuance of permissions, exemptions, approvals, and operational specifications within the FOD's competence, including special types of operation.
- Conducting inspections, en-route, ramp, etc.
